Blind Human Right Activist Beaten in Jail


Mr. Chen Guangcheng, a human right activist and a blind lawyer, was sentenced to jail after helping some rural famers fighting for their human rights. Recently, Mr. Chen was beaten up in jail. The official in prison, on the other hand, accused the blind lawyer of beating up a guard in the prison after refusing to cut his hair.

Currently, the prison has rejected any interview by any media with Mr. Chen. The blind lawyer is required to serve a jail term of 4 years and 3 months.
