China ranked 163 out of 168 in Press Freedom in 2006

The rank of press freedom of China is 163 out of 168 in 2006, which is even lower than Iran, which is known to be a very conservative Islamic country.

According to the Reporters Without Borders, "journalists in North Korea, Eritrea, Turkmenistan, Cuba, Burma and China are still risking their life or imprisonment for trying to keep us informed."
