Over 1000 Child Slaves Found in Shanxi, China

At least 1,000 children, were kidnapped in Henan and sold to work in brick kilns northwestern Shanxi.

Reportly, 217 people have been rescued, including 29 children.

According to a Chinese source, however, the rescue of child slaves was greatly hindered by the non-cooperation of local officials and police. A reporter who investigated the case was told not to complain about it unless he was a parent of a lost child.

The following is a real photo about a mother who found her lost child working as a slave in Shanxi:

A reporter who actually tried to rescue the child slaves commented on Phoenix TV (in Madarin)
