Yahoo! condemns lack of free speech in China



According to the Associated Press, Yahoo! has acknowledged sharing information about Shi Tao with Chinese communist government which led to the conviction of his leaking of state secrets.

Reportedly, Yahoo! criticized in a brief statement that China should not punish people for expressing their political views on the Internet, but did not specifically mention the case of jailed journalist Shi Tao, whose mother visited Hong Kong on Sunday.
